Nautilus Breaks Another Record

Patek Philippe reigns supreme in the world of auctions, setting yet another record for the highest-selling Nautilus timepiece. At this year's 30th anniversary of the Children Action auction in Geneva, Patek Philippe's 5711 Nautilus sold for an incredible US$7.67 million. This was no ordinary Nautilus, as it was adorned with exquisite Maori-inspired engravings. While participation in the Children Action auction does not require brands to create unique watches, Patek Philippe went above and beyond to make something special. The annual charity event is organized by Swiss foundation Children Action, which aims to support underprivileged children around the globe. Patek Philippe has been a dedicated supporter of this cause since 2005, creating exclusive timepieces to contribute to this noble cause. For this year's auction, Patek Philippe chose to revive the iconic Nautilus in steel -– reference 5711/1500A – accompanied by a set of matching cuff links featuring the same Maori-inspired engravings.
