Hailing from Sweden, professional footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic is known for his impressive skills as a striker on the field and in his watch collection. Along with fellow Nordic player Erling Haaland, he is hailed as one of the best players in the world. Fans admire his acrobatic goals, powerful shots, and overall technical prowess. Off the field, Zlatan is also recognized in the watch community for his love of luxury timepieces, and he is often seen sporting brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, and MoonSwatch on his wrist.

PATEK PHILIPPE Nautilus Platinum with Baguette-cut Rubies 40MM

Zlatan’s first platinum Patek Philippe Nautilus (yes, he has at least one more that we are aware of) is the ref. REF.5711/112P-001. Its distinctive feature (apart from the metal it was forged from) is the rubies, which adorn its bezel and hour markers. The latter look especially striking against the watch’s black textured dial. This timepiece also features a date window at 3 o’clock. While Nautilus is a sports watch, this variant, thanks to its luxurious detailing, would also make for the perfect companion to your tux.

PATEK PHILIPPE Cubitus Grand Date Platinum 45MM

Of course, an avid watch enthusiast like Zlatan Ibrahimović was among the first people to sport the newly-minted Patek Philippe Cubitus. Among the three versions released: the stainless steel ref. 5821/1A, rose gold ref. 5821/1AR and platinum ref. 5822P, the football superstar obviously chose the latter. This variant features the grand date at 12 o’clock, an off-center moon phase and a running seconds counter at five o’clock, making it the most complicated model in the lineup. The impressive Calibre 240 PS CI J LU movement boasts six patents to its name and includes a lightning-fast jumping seconds hand that completes its rotation in just 18 milliseconds. The patented mechanisms include a tangential brake, dual-functioning spring and mechanism, flexible plate and connector, and a cutting-edge positioning system.

AUDEMARS PIGUET Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked “Cactus Jack” Brown Ceramic 41MM

In January 2024, Zlatan sat in the stands watching a heated soccer match between Udinese Calcio and AC Milan. But it wasn't his fervor for the game that caught people's attention, it was the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked 26585CM adorning his wrist. This limited edition watch, born from a collaboration between Audemars Piguet and Houston-born rapper Travis Scott and his label Cactus Jack, stood out. White gold screws adorn its sapphire dial, which reveals glimpses of the openworked Calibre 5135, which powers the calendar and week indicators, showcasing Travis Scott's signature typography. The day subdial hand is even shaped like the brand's logo, while the moon phase at six o'clock boasts the glowing Cactus Jack smiley face.

AUDEMARS PIGUET Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Steel 41MM

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's collection boasts a few watches that can only be described as exquisite. One in particular stands out – the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon in sleek stainless steel. With a 41mm case and matching bracelet, this timepiece exudes elegance. The burgundy dial is adorned with white gold stick hour markers and hands, while the tourbillon complication is visible at 6 o'clock. A sapphire crystal protects the exhibition case back, providing a glimpse into the intricate movement powering both the Flying Tourbillon and basic timekeeping functions.

PATEK PHILIPPE Nautilus Flyback Chronograph White Gold 40.5MM

What we also see from Zlatan Ibrahimović’s collection is that Patek Philippe’s Nautilus is his clear favorite. Earlier this year, the football legend was spotted wearing a Nautilus Flyback Chronograph in white gold. This one features a textured grayish-blue dial with two concentric subdials at 6 o’clock and a date window at 3 o’clock. The ref. REF.5980/60G-001 also comes with a denim strap, which makes it even more special.

ROLEX Cosmograph Daytona Meteorite Dial White Gold 40MM

One of Zlatan's prized possessions is the Cosmograph Daytona Meteorite Dial by Rolex. This highly coveted sports watch was released in 2021 and quickly gained recognition for its exceptional design and functionality. The 18k white gold case encases a glossy black Cerachrom bezel, known for its durability against scratches and color fading from sunlight exposure. The middle lugs of the case are elegantly polished, adding to the overall sophisticated aesthetic. The Meteorite dial, black subdials, and luminescent hour and minute indexes are signature features of this timepiece. Additionally, it boasts a date window, white gold hour markers with luminous fill, and polished white gold indicators. Its hour hands are also outlined in white gold and filled with brilliant details for optimal visibility.

PATEK PHILIPPE Nautilus Moon Phases Rose Gold 40MM

Another Patek Philippe Nautilus in Zlatan Ibrahimović’s watch collection is the ref. REF.5712/1R-001. This one is cast entirely from rose gold and features a stunning off-center moon phase complication upon the textured brown dial. This feature, along with the power reserve indicator on the opposite side of the dial is supported by the Caliber 240 PS IRM C LU movement.

AUDEMARS PIGUET Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph White Gold 41MM

One of the prized possessions in the footballer's watch collection is the ref. 26240BC.OO.1320BC.01 from Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. This rare, limited edition timepiece features an 18k white gold case and bracelet with polished chamfers that beautifully accentuate the deep purple "Grande Tapisserie" dial. The dial also boasts rhodium-toned counters, white gold applied hour-markers, and luminescent Royal Oak hands. Completing the luxurious look is a hammered 18-carat white gold bracelet with an AP folding clasp.

AUDEMARS PIGUET Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked Black Ceramic 41MM

June of 2023 marked the end of an era as Zlatan made his way to San Siro for a bittersweet farewell. The AC Milan legend took the field one last time, adorned with a stunning Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel OpenWorked ref 15416CE in sleek black ceramic. Admired for its 41mm case diameter and iconic octagonal bezel secured by eight gold screws on top, this exclusive timepiece was the perfect companion for Zlatan's grand finale. With tears in his eyes, he shocked the sporting world with the sudden announcement of his retirement from football after AC Milan's final game of the season.

ROLEX Cosmograph Daytona Platinum with Diamonds 40MM

Yet another dazzling piece from Zlatan's collection is the sturdy platinum Rolex Daytona 116576TBR, a true gem among the limited number that rolled out of the Rolex headquarters adorned with 36 trapeze-cut diamonds and a stunning fully-encrusted diamond dial featuring 437 round diamonds (Rolex's signature exceptional gem quality and precision setting on display).

PATEK PHILIPPE Aquanaut Chronograph Steel 42.2MM

Zlatan's collection boasts an array of luxurious Patek Philippe watches. Here we have the coveted watch also worn by fellow football stars Karim Benzema and Luka Modric - the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph 5968A in sleek stainless steel. The iconic square pattern of the Aquanaut is displayed in a deep gray hue with accents of vibrant orange on the second hand and sub-counter. Complemented by a bold orange strap, this watch exudes both elegance and sportiness.

OMEGA X SWATCH MoonSwatch “Mission to Mars” Bioceramic 42MM

During the 2022 season, Zlatan was seen sporting the Omega MoonSwatch 'Mission to Mars' as he watched the Serie A game between AC Milan and AC Monza at the Stadion Giuseppe Meazza in Milan. The watch's design honors the enigmatic red planet with bold red hues and a sleek white velcro strap. Its subdials mimic the shape of a rocket, symbolizing mankind's unyielding fascination and determination to one day set foot on Mars.

PATEK PHILIPPE Nautilus Platinum with Baguette-cut Sapphires 40MM

Amidst the intense match between AC Milan and Juventus in Milan, Italy, in October 2022, eagle-eyed viewers spotted the legendary AC Milan player sporting a one-of-a-kind platinum Patek Philippe reference 5711/111P-001. This exquisite watch is limited to just 10 pieces worldwide and boasts a bezel adorned with 32 sparkling baguette-cut blue sapphires, along with 12 more sapphires acting as hour markers. But the subtle highlight of this luxurious watch lies in the small diamond embedded into the side of the bezel, symbolizing the brand's commitment to crafting only in the finest metals.

ROLEX Cosmograph Daytona “Rainbow” Everose Gold 40MM

Another Rolex in Zlatan’s collection worth mentioning is the vibrant and playful Rolex Daytona 'Rainbow' 116595 in rose gold. This beauty boasts a bezel adorned with 36 baguette-cut sapphires in a beautiful array of rainbow colors, along with 11 additional sapphires as hour markers. But that's not all - the watch is also adorned with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds on the lugs and crown guards. While some may dismiss this watch as childish, it is actually a coveted piece among celebrities and athletes alike.

ROLEX GMT-Master II “Sprite” Steel 40MM

On May 23, 2022, as AC Milan toasted their 19th championship with a parade of the "Scudetto" through the bustling streets of Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimović stood tall among his teammates, sporting his Rolex "Sprite" watch on his left wrist. The festivities commenced at 6 pm outside Casa Milan headquarters, where the team greeted their adoring fans before embarking on a bus tour through the city, culminating in a grand arrival at Piazza Duomo. Unveiled during the prestigious 2022 Watches and Wonders event in Geneva, the Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 126720VTNR boasts a striking cerachrom bezel insert featuring a green and black combination.

ROLEX Cosmograph Daytona Platinum 40MM

As a seasoned watch collector with more than a few grails to his name (nearly as many as his trophies), Zlatan Ibrahimovic owns the iconic Rolex “Platona”. This pet name, of course, refers to the platinum construction of the ref. REF.116506-0001. And, if you know Rolex, you’d know how much they love to match platinum with an ice-blue dial, and this stunner is no exception. Powered by Rolex’s first in-house chronograph movement, with only 201 parts, the cal. 4130 is ruthlessly efficient as Rolex stripped back its movement to result in a 20% decrease in the number of parts when compared to Daytona’s previous movement, the cal. 4030. This makes for a movement with longer service intervals and fewer parts to break, meaning greater reliability across the board. Additionally, with more space freed up due to its relatively small number of parts, the cal. 4130 can accommodate a larger mainspring than typical chronographs, and so the cal. 4130 boasts a 72-hour power reserve, which is quite impressive given the cal. 4030 before it only had 50 hours, which was impressive too at the time.

ROLEX Cosmograph Daytona “Eye of the Tiger” Yellow Gold with Diamonds 40MM

Just like his fellow Nordic football star, Erling Haaland, this Swedish athlete also boasts the highly coveted Rolex Daytona 'Eye of the Tiger' ref. 116588TBR. The sleek 40mm timepiece features a stunning tiger-print dial adorned with diamonds, as well as a yellow-gold bezel encrusted with 36 trapeze-cut diamonds and diamond hour markers (excluding the 15, 30, 45, and 60-minute marks). It's no wonder why this watch is in such high demand.
