In 1879, when Brandt passed away, his sons stepped in to continue what their father started and relocated the company’s headquarters to Biel, where the manufacture is currently still based. Omega has introduced a wealth of technical innovations over the course of its history, including the world’s first wristwatch with a minute repeater in 1892.
