About
H. Moser & Cie.

The Founder

H. Moser & Cie. was founded in the 19th century by Heinrich Moser, who was born in a family of watchmakers from Schaffhausen in Switzerland. He expanded the business to Russia in the 1820s and established Moser as a brand that symbolized exceptional quality, elegance and reliable watchmaking.

Heinrich also dedicated much of his vast fortune to develop the Schaffhausen region by setting up a dam along the river Rhine. Thanks to his vision, this sleepy, little town transformed into a manufacturing hub by the mid 19th century.

In 2012, the Meylan family took over H. Moser & Cie., seven years after the brand had returned to the canton of Schaffhausen and moved into its new manufacture.
