If you’ve purchased a watch from Wristcheck.com, you have a 7-day window from the date of receipt to initiate a return in the unlikely event that its condition has been misrepresented. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for counterfeit watches. All watches listed on Wristcheck are guaranteed authentic and undergo a rigorous inspection process. Making an offer allows you to submit the amount you'd like to pay for an item within the listing's suggested price range. It's then up to the seller to decide if they want to accept your offer, counter it, or reject it. If the seller accepts your offer, the transaction will proceed.

By clicking "Negotiate," you can submit an offer lower than the asking price. The seller can either accept, counter, or reject the offer until both parties reach an agreement.

To ensure meaningful offers, here are a few key rules:

• Negotiations expire 7 days after the process starts.
• Buyer’s offers: Offers cannot be lower than the suggested price range. It’s recommended to offer 5-10% below the listing price. You can choose to accept, counter, or cancel your offer.

Wristcheck is a consignment platform, which means we do not buy watches from customers outright. 

The minimum consignment period at Wristcheck is 90 calendar days. If you wish to have your watch returned within the minimum consignment period, please note that we charge a fee of USD 1,000 (HKD 7,800). 
 

Not at the moment! Our concierge consignment service requires physical examination of all watches to ensure authenticity and display their true condition to potential buyers at our boutique. We will soon introduce an express consignment service, allowing you to list a watch with Wristcheck without sending it to us until it sells. Stay tuned!

Our Watch Specialists will get back to you within 2 business days (Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 19:00 HKT).

This fee covers the cost of authentication, professional photography, marketing, and in-store handling, display and storage. 

We use a trustworthy third-party platform to carry out our KYC (Know Your Customer) process. Wristcheck does not store any of the data you provide to our third-party platform.

What we may ask you for:

• Your ID document, which could be your driver’s license, passport, ID card or visa
• A recent photo that matches your ID document photo
• Your email address

We currently accept consignments only in Hong Kong, where our authentication center is located. If you have any further inquiries, please contact us.

You are responsible for shipping your watch to Wristcheck and covering the shipping cost. If you're located in Hong Kong, you can also drop off your watch at our boutique in The Landmark, Central. For more information, please refer to our Seller Terms and Conditions.

Our team of in-house watchmakers verify the authenticity of your watch using various methods, including visual inspection, serial number verification, and reference to manufacturer databases.

The amount of time it takes for your watch to sell can vary based on market demand and other factors, but Wristcheck typically sells watches within 60-90 days.

Once your watch has been sold and the Buyer has confirmed receipt and satisfaction with the watch, you will receive payment through wire within 5 business days. For orders that require delivery, the payment will be issued within 5 business days after the 7-calendar-day Buyer protection period. For more details please refer to Wristcheck’s return policy. Rest assured that Wristcheck handles the payment process and deducts the Seller fee before sending you the payment.

If your consignment request is rejected, our consignment team will contact you via email and explain the reason for the rejection. If you have any questions or concerns about the rejection, you can always reach out to our team at concierge@wristcheck.com for further clarification. It will be at your cost and responsibility to arrange the pickup of your watch within 5 calendar days. Failure to pickup your Product within 5 calendar days may result in a late pickup fee at the discretion of Wristcheck. 

We currently accept consignments in Hong Kong. Just make sure your watch’s delivery location matches the listing region. So, if you’re based in Hong Kong, the watch delivery location and listing location should be Hong Kong. Feel free to reach out with any questions! 

For arranging watch delivery, you have following options:

1. Drop-off: You can drop off the watch at our boutique during business hours. Refer to boutique addresses and operation hours here.
2. Self-Shipping: We highly recommend using a trusted courier service with tracking and insurance capabilities coverage to protect yourself and your product. Ensure secure packaging to safeguard the watch during transit. Please take note that self-arranged shipping is at your own risk and cost. Wristcheck is not responsible (and Wristcheck's insurance policy will not cover) for any loss or damages incurred during transit.

All of our current listings allow you to purchase a watch directly on Wristcheck.com. To do so you can click the "Add To Cart" button on the product detail page. At checkout, you have two payment options to choose from 

• Credit Card

If you choose to pay with a credit card, please make sure that your credit limit exceeds your total order amount. We charge a 2.9% processing fee for all credit card payments.

• Bank Transfer (with 10% credit card deposit)

If you’re paying by bank transfer, we will charge 10% of the listed price on your credit card as deposit.

To make an offer, we will hold 5% of the first offer price on your credit card. There will be no extra hold on your credit card for subsequent counter offers. If the offer is canceled by the Buyer or rejected by the Seller, the credit card hold will be released.

If the offer is accepted, the 5% hold will become non-refundable. An email will be sent to the Buyer to complete the checkout process.

As the Buyer, you can choose to settle the remaining balance by credit card or bank transfer. Please complete the payment process within the next 24 hours. Otherwise, the order will be canceled and the watch will be available for sale again.

Listing prices are set based on current market trends and data from our Wristcheck Watch Index that analyzes historical transaction prices from sources like auction houses and other pre-owned platforms. Our Watch Specialists frequently review and suggest prices to Sellers, ensuring alignment with fair market values. However, the final listing price is determined by our Sellers.

All watches listed on Wristcheck are consigned to us. It is not uncommon to find that certain watches will trade at a higher price than their original retail price on the secondary market, which is also the case for ​​​​the sneaker and art markets. Usually, this is caused by high demand for certain brands and models, as well as other factors like the discontinuation of specific models, or the fact that certain watches are produced in very limited quantities.

Yes! As a Buyer you are able to submit offers that are lower than the asking price. Sellers may choose to accept or submit a counter offer in response. For more information, you may refer to the “Make An Offer” section in our FAQs.

All products will be available for pickup at our Hong Kong boutique or shipped within 7-10 business days, with exceptions for watches in Brand New condition, promotional or Limited Edition pieces, and Wristcheck eShop merchandise. Please note that fulfillment and delivery times may be affected during the year-end holiday peak season.
 

All watches purchased on Wristcheck are insured at full value of their purchase price.

Once your payment has been received and processed, you will receive a confirmation email. We will ship your watch to you via one of our trusted couriers usually within 2 working days (Monday-Friday, HKT) of confirming we have received your payment.

Purchasing Products from Wristcheck:

A flat shipping fee of USD 30 applies to all orders except for in-store pickup orders. This fee does not include taxes or duties.

Consigning or Returning Products to Wristcheck:

Shipping to Wristcheck will be at your own cost and risk, unless otherwise communicated by Wristcheck. We recommended using an effective insurance policy to cover your Products’ full value and choose a trusted courier with a valid tracking system.

All of our packages are shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid). Customs charges, as well as any associated import tax, VAT, or duties as required by your local jurisdiction are your responsibility. Please contact your local customs office for more information regarding import duties and taxes for your local jurisdiction.

Before sending your watch to Wristcheck, please contact us at concierge@wristcheck.com to specify the purpose of the shipment (e.g., consignment, return, repair, or professional services) and to confirm our delivery contact details.

We recommend insuring your watch for its full value and using a trusted courier with tracking. Ensure your watch and related items are professionally wrapped for shipping. If you are in Hong Kong, we encourage you to drop off your watch at Wristcheck’s boutique in The Landmark, Central, Hong Kong. Below are our packing and shipping suggestions:

• Use a plain, sturdy cardboard box (not branded) and seal it carefully with duct tape.
• If reusing packaging, remove all previous labels, stickers, and hazmat warnings to prevent delays.
• Wrap the watch and all accessories securely with bubble wrap to avoid damage during shipping. 
• Pack all items, including the original watch box, papers, and any other parts, in the cardboard box, wrapped in bubble wrap. 
• If the watch or its accessories include exotic skins, ship these in a separate package.
• Mark the outside of the packaging with a small, discreet identifier (e.g., your initials or tracking number). Attach the shipping label to the outer packaging. 
• Inside the box, include your consignment ID or order number, either on a piece of paper or directly on the inner box, for easy identification.
• Inform concierge@wristcheck.com of the tracking number, consignment ID or order number, and any other relevant details once the shipment has been collected by the courier.

Some watch straps or accessories might be made out of exotic skins, such as alligator, crocodile, and ostrich. When shipping these watches, additional customs declarations may be required. Tracking updates are typically available within 24 hours after the courier collects your package. We only work with trusted couriers who provide full tracking visibility and timely updates.

For watches with straps made with exotic skins, we will ship the watch and strap separately to comply with customs regulations.

Purchases made and collected from Wristcheck’s boutique are non-refundable, and all sales made at the boutique are final. We do not accept returns for changes of heart.

For online purchases, returns may be requested; however, the decision to accept a return and/or provide a refund is at Wristcheck's sole discretion. Wristcheck may accept returns if the product condition was misrepresented on our platform or if an incorrect product was received, provided the issue is raised with Wristcheck within 7 calendar days of delivery. Please inspect the product without breaking the security seal, as opening the seal voids the right to return. All watches consigned to Wristcheck are graded thoroughly by our Professional Services team who have been trained to evaluate, authenticate, and repair watches with over 20 years of combined experience at watch brands. For more information, please visit our Wristcheck Grade page. 

The Wristcheck Grade is derived from thorough assessment and calculation of a weighted average across three categories: the watch’s Case & Bracelet, Dial & Hands, and Movement:

MODERN 

A modern watch is less than 20 years old.

Unworn (10): The watch has not been worn. Unworn watches may still have handling marks from Authorised Retailers or secondary dealers (i.e. hairlines). A refurbished watch will not be considered unworn. 

Excellent (9): An exceptionally well-maintained watch with minimal, insignificant flaws. 

Very Good (8): The watch is in very good condition, with minor signs of wear throughout the watch. The watch does not have any substantial scratches or dents.

Good (7): The watch is in good condition. It’s been regularly worn with isolated scratches and dents throughout.

Fair (6): The watch has more significant scratches and dents throughout. It will likely be rejected for consignment, except in rare cases.

Poor (5): The watch will not be accepted for consignment in its current condition.

Any watch that falls below the grade of “Good (7)” isn’t considered for consignment at Wristcheck (except for rare cases, like certain vintage models).

VINTAGE   

A vintage watch is 20 years or older. While not a conventional definition, we believe that 20 years is enough time to alter the state of the original watch if it is worn daily.

Unworn (10): The watch has been proven unworn and un-refurbished, regardless of its age. However, this does not mean that there is no oxidation on its case, dial, hands, or movement, as oxidation is inevitable with time.

Excellent (9): An exceptionally well-maintained watch with minimal, insignificant flaws. There is minimal to no bracelet droop and possible high-quality refurbishment (this will be mentioned in its condition report).

Very Good (8): The watch is in very good condition, with minor signs of wear throughout the watch. It may have been refurbished (if mentioned in its condition report). The bracelet may droop more than usual, but has not lost structural integrity.

Good (7): The watch is in good condition. It has signs of wear throughout – on its case, bracelet, dial, hands, and potentially the movement.

Fair (6): The watch is in fair condition and may have been refurbished poorly, or is left in “fair” un-refurbished condition. It will likely be rejected for consignment, except for rare cases.

Poor (5): The watch will not be accepted for consignment in its current condition.

Any watch that falls below the grade of “Good (7)” isn’t considered for consignment at Wristcheck (except for rare cases).    

A Brand New watch comes with its original box and paperwork, including a warranty card issued in the month of purchase.

A Sealed watch is sealed within its original packaging. It can be either single or double sealed.

Any watch that falls below the grade of “Good (7)” isn’t considered for consignment at Wristcheck (except for rare cases, like certain vintage models). If the watch has any functional issues or is due for a service, we conduct repairs and servicing before it is consigned to us.

Nothing! Once you decide to consign your watch with us, we authenticate and grade it completely free of charge.

During your visit to our Wristcheck Boutique, our skilled watchmaker will personally assess your watch, address inquiries, and discuss the necessary work before proceeding.

Absolutely! We happily accept watch repairs from customers worldwide. However, please keep in mind that shipping and logistics costs will not be covered by us.

The servicing process typically takes from 3-7 weeks, depending on the complexity of the work required. Please note that sourcing authentic parts, when needed, may add some time to the overall process.

Our data model is proprietary. We only obtain data from verified and auditable sources including auction houses, our own sales data, and our global network of partners.

There are several factors that can cause auction house transaction prices to be lower than market prices:

• Buyer's Premium: Auction houses charge a buyer's premium (10%-25% of the hammer price), making the total transaction price higher than the hammer price.
• Condition: The condition of the watch significantly impacts its value. Watches in poor condition may sell for less at auction. Our market prices reflect watches in unworn condition.
• Timing: Auction timing can affect prices. Less competition during slow periods can result in lower prices.

It's important to keep in mind that the hammer price is only one of the many factors that determine the value of a watch. Our proprietary algorithm factors in transaction data from diverse and trusted sources to estimate the market price.

There can be several reasons as to why auction house transaction prices may be higher than market prices.

• Condition: Sealed or pristine watches can command higher prices.
• Provenance: Watches with notable histories or celebrity ownership can attract higher bids.

Our list is reviewed every quarter to ensure the most models that meet our criteria are included in our indexes. Models may be added or removed to reflect changes in the market.

The estimated market price represents an approximate value that a watch is likely to sell for in the current market. Our proprietary algorithm takes into account factors such as the brand, model, condition of the watch, and other market trends to arrive at this estimation. This can give you an idea of what to expect when selling your watch through us.

The market prices displayed in the Wristcheck Watch Index may be slightly higher than those found elsewhere because our prices typically reflect mint condition watches. Other sites may include pre-owned watches in varying conditions and ages, or lacking original packaging. These factors can contribute to lower market prices.

The changes of the market value of the watch gives you an indication whether this watch is going up or down in value in the secondary market. This helps you make buying and selling decisions.

If you have purchased a watch at Wristcheck, we have added your new watch to your collection, allowing you to track its value over time.

You can view the net worth of your entire watch collection, or market value of the individual watches you own.

The estimated market value is generated by our Wristcheck Price Index to provide the most updated value of the watch model in unworn  condition and from the latest year. This might not be the most accurate reflection of how much the watch you own is worth. If you've submitted your photos of your watch for verification, we can provide its current market value, considering its condition and year of production.

Gain/Loss shows the difference between the total market price and the total purchase price of your watches. It only considers watches with available market and purchase prices for accurate results.

Estimated values of your collection are updated daily. 

Yes, you can add your own photos and notes to each watch, including photos of the papers including the serial number for your reference. All of this information shared will be securely kept within Wristcheck and we won't share your personal information unless you have given consent to us. 

Yes, you can add any watch to your collection so it is complete. However, there may be little or no data available to these rare watches. If data is made available to us, new information will be added to your Watch collection automatically. 

Verifying your watch shows us you currently own this watch. By providing a photo following our guidelines, you'll receive an accurate market value based on its condition and year. Once you complete this step, you'll be able to learn the actual value of your portfolio and easily consign your watch if you choose.
