The Yacht-Master 42 is a relatively new addition to the Rolex lineup, introduced in 2019. The watch is a larger, original version of the popular Yacht-Master model, featuring a 42mm case size and a range of updates and improvements. The Yacht-Master model itself was first introduced in 1992, as Rolex's response to the growing popularity of sailing and yacht racing. The watch was designed to be both stylish and practical, with a range of features specifically tailored to the needs of sailors and other boating enthusiasts. Over the years, the model has featured updated movements, materials, and designs with the Yacht-Master 42 being the latest and largest iteration of the watch. The model present here is the White Gold Oyster flex ref. 226659-0002 which provides an extremely sleek and sporty design. Crafted from white gold, the 42mm houses a black dial featuring luminescent hands and hour makers, as well as a date window at the 3 o'clock position. Powered by Rolex's in-house movement, calibre 3235, the watch offers up to 100m of water resistance along with approximately 70 hours of power reserve. To contrast the white gold, the watch is completed with a black cerechrom bezel and a black Oysterflex bracelet. Whilst the bidirectional rotatable 60-minute bezel is useful for reading time intervals, the Oysterflex bracelet combines the strength and reliability of a metal bracelet with the comfort and flexibility of a rubber strap. Not only does the watch in its entirety offer luxurious and practical aspects, but it's an extremely secure and comfortable watch as well. Whether you are racing across the waves or relaxing on the beach, this watch will keep you stylish and on time, no matter where life takes you.
