雖然這枚Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar可能不是今年Royal Oak 50週年系列中最大膽的手錶，但它絕對是目前市場上最熱門的陶瓷手錶。近年來也有多個品牌推出了藍色陶瓷材質的手錶（例如：Hublot Big Bang Integrated 和 Zenith Defy Classic），但最吸睛的莫過於這枚帶點搖滾氛圍的Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in Blue Ceramic。

於2017年，Audemars Piguet首次推出全黑陶瓷材質的Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar。兩年後，再推出白色陶瓷版本，來到今年第三代，品牌以高科技藍色陶瓷錶殼襯托Grande Tapisserie大格紋藍色錶盤，令人目不暇給。

Audemars Piguet在製造萬年曆時計的歷史可以追溯到1875年，當時Jules Louis Audemars創造了一款萬年曆懷錶，其結合了刻鐘報時機制和跳秒功能。
