Ming x Massena Lab Honey

Likely in contention for the title of one of the watch world’s “most interesting personalities,” Malaysian photographer-slash-entrepreneur Ming Thein is the face and namesake of MING.

A self-described “lover of watches, above all [else],” Ming’s résumé reads very differently from that of the typical watch brand executive. An Oxford grad with a background in physics, he went on to several prominent roles in private equity before quitting corporate culture altogether to become a commercial photographer. Through his diverse and acclaimed portfolio of work, Ming became a senior advisor to both DJI and Hasselblad in 2017.

In 2019, he hung up his various advisory roles in order to focus on MING watches full-time.
