Marco Lang and Mirko Heyne co-founded the German watch brand Lang & Heyne in 2001. Marco Lang, a fifth-generation watchmaker, grew up in a family deeply rooted in the craft of horology. After studying under master watchmakers and gaining experience at Glashütte Original, Lang became dedicated to reviving traditional Saxon watchmaking techniques. His passion for mechanical intricacy and fine craftsmanship is evident in Lang & Heyne’s exceptional timepieces.
Mirko Heyne, also a skilled watchmaker, shared a similar passion for precision watchmaking. Before co-founding the brand, Heyne worked at A. Lange & Söhne, one of Germany’s most prestigious watch manufacturers. His expertise in movement design and finishing was instrumental in shaping Lang & Heyne’s early collections.
Although Heyne left the company in 2002, Marco Lang continued to lead the brand until his departure in 2019. Both founders contributed significantly to Lang & Heyne’s reputation for producing highly refined, handcrafted watches.
