The IWC Big Pilot’s Watch AMG G 63 (ref. IW506201) embodies a meeting point between avant-garde material science and high-performance automotive design. Released in 2021, it features a matte black ceramic matrix composite (CMC) case – a material developed in collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) – giving the watch exceptional thermal and scratch resistance while maintaining a lightweight profile on the wrist.

Measuring 46mm across, the case frames a black dial distinguished by a textured pattern that echoes the air intakes of Mercedes-AMG vehicles. Inside, the IWC-manufactured calibre 52010 delivers seven days of power reserve via twin barrels, complemented by a Pellaton winding system reinforced with ceramic components. The screw-down crown and robust construction provide water-resistance to 60 metres, ensuring practical durability in addition to technical intrigue.
