The Cartier Baignoire (ref. WJBA0037) reimagines the maison’s iconic oval silhouette in a refined, gem-set form that balances Art Deco elegance with sculptural modernity. First designed in the early 20th century, the Baignoire has become a fixture in Cartier’s jewellery watch offerings – here, presented with arresting contrast in an 18mm white gold case and a jet-black dial framed by diamonds.

The slim profile houses a quartz movement within an 18mm polished white gold case, which is entirely paved with brilliant-cut diamonds along the signature rounded bezel. The lacquered black dial provides stark contrast beneath sword-shaped white gold hands, while the absence of hour markers accentuates the jewellery-forward design. Water-resistant to 30 metres, the watch is fitted with a black alligator strap and white gold ardillon buckle, continuing the monochromatic theme.

Though compact, ref. WJBA0037 is anything but understated. As a high-jewellery interpretation of one of Cartier’s most historically significant designs, it reflects a focused purity that reinforces the maison’s distinctive design DNA – a collector’s piece as much as a statement in style.
