Out of these, a precise 36 dials fell short of perfection, mere deviations from the desired standards, destined for rejection. However, Wristcheck's co-founder and CEO, Austen Chu, saw an opportunity within these 'unwanted' dials. Collaborating with the talented Paris-based artist, Romaric André, known as seconde/seconde/, a transformative vision emerged.
In 2023, the result of this collaboration is unveiled as the WRISTCHECK X SECONDE/SECONDE/ X ATELIER WEN PERCEPTION "锔瓷" SPECIAL EDITION, an exclusive collection limited to only 36 pieces. This remarkable timepiece represents a seamless fusion of traditional craftsmanship and innovative restoration.
Breathing new life into the discarded dials, seconde/seconde/ skillfully mends them with three exquisite cross-stitches in pure 24K gold, accompanied by matching gold hands. These stitches, paying homage to the ancient Chinese art of "锔瓷" (jū cí) used to mend Celadon porcelains, honor traditional techniques while rejuvenating the dial. As each laceration on the dials was uniquely positioned by Master Cheng, every one of the 36 timepieces became a truly individual creation.
These exceptional watches serve as a testament to the beauty found in imperfections and the resilience required in the restoration process. They convey a tale of transformation, from rejection to redemption, symbolizing Master Cheng's revived pride in his craft.

Shipping & Returns
Where do you ship to?
We currently offer both local Hong Kong and international delivery. Please refer to our Buyers and Sellers Policy for a list of countries we deliver to. There is no additional charge for shipping the watch to your preferred address within our shipping coverage.
