Famously worn by commercial diving companies like COMEX, and acting as the vehicle for Rolex to demonstrate revolutionary innovations like the Helium-Escape Valve, the Sea-Dweller is a legendary model with an equally legendary history. Here, we have a ref. 116660 Deepsea, an even more extreme version of the Sea-Dweller with an incredible 3900m of water resistance, a larger 44mm case and the historically accurate cyclops-less sapphire crystal. The ultimate in dive watch technology, the Deepsea pushed the Sea-Dweller to new depths that were never thought possible. Featuring a D-Blue dial and large luminescent hour markers, this watch commemorates James Cameron’s historic solo dive.
