Complications

The Patek Philippe World Time was first introduced in 1930 and was considered a groundbreaking innovation in watchmaking at that time. Over time, the watch saw a wide range of different designs and complications, incorporating new materials, movements, and features. Today, the collection includes models ranging from classic dress watches to sporty modern timepieces. Despite the updates, the core concept of the World Time remains the same; a watch that allows the wearer to keep track of time across multiple timezones, making it the perfect companion for travelers and globetrotters alike.&nbsp;The World Time present here is the Europe Asia Map ref. 5131G-001 in 39mm, crafted with white gold. It is a watch that showcases exquisite craftsmanship and exceptional design. Powered by calibre 240 HU, the movement was meticulously crafted with 239 individual parts, capable of approximately 48 hours of power reserve and up to 30m of water resistance. The main character of this watch however is the Cloisonne Enamel Europe Asia Map dial, which is a true work of art. The map is crafted using the ancient cloisonne enamel technique, which involves creating small compartments or "cloisons" on the surface of the dial and filling them with enamel. The result is a stunningly detailed and colorful representation of Europe and Asia. The dial of the watch displays 24 different time zones, with each time zone indicated by a city name on the outermost ring of the dial. The watch's complex mechanism allows the wearer to adjust the time by pressing a button, which sets the city ring to the desired time zone, while the rest of the dial remains unchanged. The watch comes with a black alligator strap with a fold-over clasp in white gold, completing the sophisticated and elegant design of this exceptional timepiece. Versatile and accurate, the stunning watch combines the highest level of technical expertise with superb craftsmanship and artistic beauty.
