For the past 17 years, MB&F has captivated the world with its unorthodox and visionary timepieces, each one a testament to the brand's unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional horology. The introduction of the M.A.D.1 RED marks a significant milestone in this horological odyssey, offering enthusiasts a more accessible avenue to experience the signature MB&F flair. Crafted from durable stainless steel with the same innovative case structure as its predecessor, the M.A.D.1 RED boasts a striking new look, with a vibrant cherry red hue that commands attention and instantly sets it apart from the crowd. At the heart of this captivating timepiece lies an inverted and modified Miyota 821A movement, powered by a triple-blade winding rotor in titanium and tungsten. This unidirectional winding system not only ensures effortless manual winding but also adds a touch of visual excitement, especially when the Super-LumiNova kicks in, illuminating the rotating rotor. The lateral time display, featuring two revolving cylinders for the hours and minutes, adds a touch of avant-garde charm to the M.A.D.1 RED, imbuing it with a distinctive character that sets it apart from conventional timepieces. The classic round winding crown, a departure from the original M.A.D.1's more contemporary design, provides a seamless user experience, allowing for easy time adjustments.

M.A.D. Editions

In June 2021, Max Büsser, Owner &amp; Creative director of MB&amp;F, set the internet on fire when it released the first M.A.D.1 which featured an upside down triple blade winding rotor based off a modified Miyota movement. The goal with this watch, which was released in a blue colour scheme, was to reward the close friends of the brand, and clients who have supported the brand, by allowing them to get access to a fun timepiece that represented the spirit of MB&amp;F but at a very affordable price. The watch was never officially released and was more of a “Friends &amp; Family” situation. Needless to say that everyone wanted to get their hands on one, but to satisfy the thirst for the M.A.D.1 Büsser promised that a second model would be made widely available to the public. Fast forward a year later and the promise has been kept with the official release of the M.A.D.1 RED. The technical specifications remain the same with the use of a wide 42mm stainless steel case, inverted Miyota 821A automatic movement with winding rotor on top, and lateral time display system. The bezel has been slimmed down and the crown replaced with a more traditional crown, and of course the red colour marks the difference between the first and second generation of the M.A.D.1.
