The Calendrier Type 1 ushers in a whole new design language by master watchmaker Hajime Asaoka, designed for the adventurer but still firmly rooted in his penchant for vintage romanticism of the art-deco era. The Calendrier Type 1’s khaki dial features white Arabic numeral hour markers in a bold gothic typeface, framed by a railway track minute scale and recessed, snailed sub-dials. Housed inside a 38mm 316L stainless steel case and water resistant to 50m. Functions include center seconds, a 40-hour power reserve, and full calendar. Its design is meant to be worn regularly and develop its personality over time - a design that tolerates and accepts blemishes."Blemishes accumulated are unique to the wearer and is a written record of his journey and adventures through life. Owners should spend their time in meaningful pursuits rather than worry about scratches. Hence the design embraces such blemishes, adds character, and looks better over time," said Hajime Asaoka.
