We visited one of the world’s oldest clockmakers, L’Epée 1839 in Delémont, Switzerland. Equipped with both modern and traditional artisanal tools, L’Epée is best-known for its kinetic art pieces made in collaboration with MB&F. The brand still makes all the movements for its timepieces in-house – be it the classic carriage clocks or exceptionally modern pieces equipped with striking mechanisms, retrograde seconds, perpetual calendars and tourbillons.
