Breitling’s new Endurance Pro 38 range and high-performance athletes are a match made in heaven
Carrying on the legacy of the 41mm Endurance Pro, Breitling has introduced a host of 38mm members to the family. Built with professional athletes in mind, this watch is an amalgamation of extreme-precision timekeeping and lifestyle sensibilities. The model also comes in five electrifying colors.
The Origins
Endurance Pro is the natural successor of the Breitling Sprint – a high-performance chronograph that was first introduced in the 1970s to meet the needs of fashion-conscious athletes. Sprint’s lightweight resin case, equipped with a heart-rate-monitoring pulsometer, made it ideal for professional sport, earning it a professional tool-watch status. Staying true to its roots yet embracing innovation and the dynamic lifestyles of modern athletes, Endurance Pro adopts water resistance of up to 100m, a tactile rubberized crown for excellent grip, and an ability to time intervals of 1/10th of a second, in addition to the host of Sprint’s iconic features. Another cool addition to this timepiece compared to its predecessor is a solar compass – to help wayward travelers stay on track surely.
Case and Dial
As with any other cutting-edge, performance-oriented watch, Endurance Pro 38 has a case made from Breitlight, a high-tech polymer charged with composite fibers, which grants it the lightness that exceeds titanium threefold and stainless steel – nearly sixfold. In vibrant shades of purple, pink, white, light blue, and red, these timepieces feature matching straps and crowns that complement their inner bezel rings. And for fans of the original 44 mm Endurance Pro, fear not! The new streamlined rubber strap comes in navy, orange, white, and light blue. With Super-LumiNova® coating on the hands and numerals, low-light visibility is a breeze.
The Movement
As with all Breitling Professional watches, the Endurance Pro boasts a highly advanced thermo-compensated SuperQuartzTM movement, surpassing traditional quartz technology in accuracy by tenfold. The 44 mm version houses the impressive Breitling Caliber 82, while the slightly smaller 38 mm model is equipped with the equally powerful Caliber 83. Each movement has been certified as a chronometer by COSC, guaranteeing exceptional precision and reliability.
New Breitling Triathlon Squad Members
On the occasion of the Endurance Pro 38 launch, Breitling also welcomed two new members to its triathlon squad. Now the team consists of German Olympic gold medalist Jan Frodeno also the first person to win all major triathlon titles for different distances, five-time IRONMAN World Champion Daniela Ryf, 2023 IRONMAN World Champion Lucy Charles-Barclay, and the youngest male winner in IRONMAN’s history Sam Laidlow.
