Franck Muller

A graduate of the Ecole d’Horlogerie de Genève, Franck Muller began his career in the 1980s as a repairer and restorer of pocket watches - many of which today reside in the Patek Philippe Museum.

In 1984, Muller successfully completed his own tourbillon wristwatch - in the process, becoming the first individual to display the eponymous complication as an exposed part on a watch dial. In the years following his brand’s creation, Muller would go on to invent various other complications that remain novel even today - the most well-known being the inimitable “Crazy Hours.”

Marketed with the slogan “Master of Complications”, Franck Muller’s eponymous luxury watch brand is a relatively new addition to the tapestry of Swiss watchmaking. Since its launch in 1991, the brand has gone on to cultivate a reputation for irreverent and unique timepieces, favored by celebrities including Floyd Mayweather and Elton John. 

Known for fusing sophisticated mechanical watchmaking with an Art-Deco sensibility, the brand boasts a large array of watches wrapped in sinuous curves that hammer home the difficulty of integrating complications.
