Released in 2013, the Grand Lange 1 "Lumen" ref. 117.035 is a variant of the Lange 1, widely considered as one of the most recognizable watches the brand has ever constructed. The new model Lumen is a modernized version of the older more classical alternative, however, it still incorporates many of the design cues that originally made the model so unique. The case of the watch is measured at 41mm crafted with platinum and accompanied by a black alligator strap that helps retain the classical and vintage of previous models. With the Lumen model however, the dial of the watch is semi-transparent, allowing you to take a peek into the watch's intricate and complex movement, transpiring a more modern appeal to the watch. Powered by calibre L095.2, the watch is capable of up to 20m of water resistance and 72 hours of power reserve. Along the same lines as the Lange 1, the design of the dial and its features are off-centered, with the minutes and hours occupying much of the dial situated at the 9 o'clock position, the seconds dial located at 4:30 o'clock, date at 1:30, and lastly a power reserve indicator from 2 - 4 o'clock. Limited to only 200 units, the watch is a stellar upgrade to the Lange 1 with modernized allures and is a watch that is highly sought-after.
