型號介紹
The Rolex Sea-Dweller's history is deeply intertwined with the evolution of dive watches and the growing demand for timepieces capable of withstanding the extreme pressures of deep-sea exploration. Introduced in 1967, the original Sea-Dweller was designed in collaboration with COMEX, the French deep-sea diving specialist, and featured a pioneering helium escape valve to address the challenges faced by saturation divers. The early "Double Red" models were quickly distinguished from the Submariner by their increased water resistance, reaching 2,000 feet (610 meters). Over the decades, the Sea-Dweller continued to evolve, with key variants like the "Great White" and the introduction of the Deepsea model, which further pushed the limits of water resistance to an impressive 12,000 feet (3,900 meters). The Rolex Sea-Dweller's rich history and technological advancements have solidified its status as a true icon among diver's watches.
Measuring 44mm in diameter and 17.7mm in height, the Sea Dweller’s case is crafted from Oystersteel, a specially developed alloy that belongs to the 904L steel family. This material is designed to be extremely resistant to corrosion, offers an exceptional finish once polished, and maintains its beauty even in the harshest environments, this timepiece is designed to withstand the extreme pressures and conditions of deep-sea exploration. Complemented by a 60-minute graduated, unidirectional rotatable bezel enables divers to precisely and safely monitor their dive and decompression times, while the innovative Chromalight display on the blue dial pushes back the boundaries of visibility in dark environments, its distinctive blue glow lasting up to eight hours with a uniform luminosity.
The heart of this Sea-Dweller Deepsea is the Calibre 3235 movement, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. This state-of-the-art calibre is equipped with a Chronergy escapement, which combines high energy efficiency with great dependability. With a power reserve of up to 70 hours, the Sea-Dweller Deepsea D-Blue ensures reliable performance even during extended periods of non-use. The movement's 31 jewels and high-frequency oscillator (28,800 beats per hour) deliver exceptional precision and stability, making this timepiece a true chronometer certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). The Oyster bracelet, a perfect alchemy of form and function, is designed to be both robust and comfortable. It is equipped with an Oysterlock clasp, which prevents accidental opening, and an ingenious Glidelock, allowing fine adjustments of the bracelet without using any tools and allowing it to be worn comfortably over a diving suit.
