Famed for their brazen designs and position as the "Master of Complications," Franck Muller has made their name in creating timepieces that exist beyond the ordinary. Perhaps one of the most recognisable examples of this mantra is the Crazy Hours. Released in 2003, the idea for Crazy Hours came to Franck Muller himself while on holiday in Mauritius, perhaps symbolising the crazy time-driven lives we lead. Featuring a jumping hour module within its automatic movement, the Crazy Hours features an unconventional dial layout with its hour hand jumping spontaneously from hour to hour as it bridges enormous gaps across the dial. Found within Franck Muller's signature tonneau-shaped case, the ref. 7851 CH we have here features a beautifully decorated monochromatic silver dial with white Arabic numerals sitting atop a plethora of ‘ghost’ numerals, a subtle reminder of the timepiece's unique complication.
