F.P. Journe’s emphatic motto, Invenit et Fecit (“he invented it and made it”), is a sentiment most assuredly echoed in its practice – each watch movement boasts an original caliber that has been entirely invented, constructed, and assembled in their Geneva workshops. Founded in 1999 by the eponymous François-Paul Journe in Geneva, the manufacture specializes in complex precision chronometers, with a limited annual production run of approximately 800 wristwatches.

Journe promises quality over quantity: each piece is produced by a single craftsman, and can take up to a year to complete. F.P. Journe, a skilled watchmaker himself, draws upon his own historical knowledge as well as savoir-fare deeply rooted in historical techniques, coupled with both research and innovation.
