Launched in 2002, the AP Royal Oak Offshore Rubberclad was one of the first watches to ever utilize rubber as one of the main materials used in its construction. Taking the blueprint that the Royal Oak Offshore had created all those years prior in 1993 with its enlarged rubber gasket and rubberized pushers, the Rubberclad took things a step further and encased its stainless-steel bezel within a layer of rubber for aesthetic continuity and protection. Here we have a Rubberclad ref. 25940SK.OO.D002CA.03, featuring a bezel-matching black dial and black rubber strap. With its monochrome look, this iconic timepiece looks stunning and will certainly make an excellent addition to any collection. Long discontinued, these timepieces represent a wonderful piece of AP’s innovative and trend-setting history.
