Released in 1999 as a limited edition of 500, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore End of Days features in the eponymous Arnold Schwarzenegger movie from the same year, and is designed with the very same bad-ass apocalyptic themes in mind. The stainless-steel timepiece is entirely blacked-out, using a technique called ‘Physical Vapour Deposition’ (PVD). While this may seem par for the course today, the ‘90s were different times. A luxury brand like AP blacking-out a watch seemed utterly bizarre, but ultimately enabled other luxury brands to follow suit. Fitted with an equally blacked-out dial featuring the brand’s signature tapisserie pattern, the dial’s only source of colour comes from its striking yellow hands and Arabic numerals, highlighting its design as an extreme timepiece truly fit for the end of days.
Case/Bracelet: The case is in good condition with slight signs of wearing and use.
Dial: The dial is in overall good condition.
Movement: The movement is running smoothly. Chronograph is functioning well.
Comes with an extra black nylon strap and a screw driver
